Dr. Donghui Kou obtained his B.S. from Northwest A&F University in 2016 and his Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology in 2022. He then continued as a postdoctoral researcher at Dalian University of Technology. In 2026, he joined the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), as an Assistant Professor. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of functional polymers, photonic crystal materials, and bioinspired optical sensors for environmental monitoring and smart material applications. He has published 28 papers in prestigious journals such as Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Sci., Chem. Eng. J. He has led multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
